Om Veeraswamy
In the heart of the West End on Regent Street, Veeraswamy has been satisfying Londoners’ love of curry since 1927. The restaurant was set up by Lord Palmer and now belongs to Namita Panjabi of Chutney Mary and Masala Zone fame. She has brought a fresh broom to this classic restaurant, keeping its heritage but adding notes of modern elegance. Out go the colonial references and in come vibrant Indian colours and bold authentic dishes.

I enjoyed it. Portions were a little to large on the tasting menu but is that a bad thing?Recension
We tried Veeraswamy for our 1st Wedding Anniversary after seeing the reviews on toptable and were not disappointed. My wife's starter was the best either of us had ever tasted at an Indian restaurant, really fresh-tasting, the mains were really original, filling and well presented, and the service was friendly and unfussy. We booked to go again but unfortunately had to change our plans, but i would definitely like to re-visit!Recension
