Set on Barcelona's most elegant avenue, this stunningly modern restaurant has had the hand of celebrated designer Estrella Salieti all over its decor and it is hot, hot, hot. With its sleek lines, curving banquets, extremely neutral colours charged into life by the pools of purple light on the walls and ceilings the place is a subtle knockout. The terrace overlooks the emblematic Gaudi-designed Casa Batlló. Very smart, very cosmopolitan crowd that includes models, actors, and politicians. The cuisine of Jaume Turon is imaginative, even unique, fusion cooking with dishes like his own special paella, Butifarra sausage grill, and artichoke ravioli with aged Spanish ham in carbonara sauce. Very good wines and service.

Tenorio is an ideal stop over when visiting La Pedrera and Casa Batlló.
