Santini restaurant in Edinburgh is a winning entry from the stable of the beloved Santini restaurants in London and Milan. With that pedigree, Santini offers authentic Italian cuisine, with a bit of emphasis on Tuscan and Venetian dishes – all using fresh ingredients in season. Pasta is made on site. The dining room shows why Italian designers are famous the world over – the flagstone floors, the chic, covered seating, the deep colours, the funky lighting, all come together into a very cool, comfortable space. It’s casual and buzzing at lunchtime when all of Standard Life decants into the place, and relaxed and a bit dressier in the evenings.

Santini'sWe booked late for Des 31st and were pleased with service,food and surroundings. Not the usual italian busy noisy restaurant but much more intimate which was what we wanted. Had drinks in the Shareaton first which was very posh but nice. Will go back.
