The Sagardi Euskal Taberna BCN Centre in the centre of Barcelona is another terrific eaterie from this family of superb, relaxed, authentic restaurants. You’ll find it in the Eixample district, right in the heart of town, a two-minute walk from the Rambla and the Paseo de Gracia, so it’s perfect for breaks from sightseeing. Like the other Sagardis, this restaurant décor is based on rustic materials, transformed into a smartly-designed modern space with bright, pale walls, sleek seating, and woods of many shades. A pair of enormous barrels, called kupelas, behind the bar reminds you that Sagardi is inspired by classic Basque sidrerias. The excellently-sourced menu features classic Basque cuisine including several preparations of bacalao, and if you just can’t decide, then the three-course Menu de sidreria gives you a flavour of the best of the kitchen. As Sagardi BCN Centre is set in the Barcelona’s business district, it is a favourite spot for working lunches. The three naturally-lit private dining rooms accommodate up to 110 guests in total, making this a perfect spot for your corporate event.
