Om Rowley's St James'
Not many restaurants have a loyalty scheme, which just goes to show how very loyal Rowley's long-time regulars happen to be. The room is traditionally British, but also informal and relaxed. The menu changes monthly, and always features Rowley's tremendously good char-grilled entrecote steak or breast of Sussex chicken with herb and butter sauce and endless chips. The trad Caeser salad is also terrific. Short, intelligent wine list and the sun-dried tomato chutney served with the cheese is just right. Great for business lunches, or pre- or post-theatre.

The vegetable soup to start which was really good, but £12 for the salmon starter was a bit steep but then it is london. We both had the entrecote steak which was excellent and the fries were perfect.

This was a nostalgic return to Rowleys with three friends from Nottingham. Having raved about the steak, it absolutely lived up to expectations, and the service was friendly and very attentive - we were going to the theatre after our meal, and they made sure we had plenty of time to enjoy our meal in the lovely ambience of the restaurant. We are looking forward to a return visit, and will not leave it so long this time!Besökare
