Restaurant 1563 is found in The White Lion Hotel in the picturesque seaside Suffolk town of Aldeburgh and is named after the year the hotel was built. The elegant interior features old oak panelling and a 16th century fireplace, and boasts views of the shingle beach, where fresh fish is sold from charming wooden huts lining the shore. Restaurant 1563 is known for its delicious seafood menu as well as traditional roasts and vegetarian selections, and the crowd is a refreshing mix of hotel guests and locals celebrating special occasions. The restaurant has a wonderful selection of wines, and the service is impeccable.

I took my elderly parents for a meal in 1563 a restaurant in the White Lion in Aldeburgh. The food was excellent my potato souffle with a chive cream was very tasty,all the food was cooked and very well presented.The decor was a little dated,but very clean, i would definately go there again.

We were a party of ten for Sunday lunch at Restaurant 1563. Everyone was unanimous that the food ,service ,and value were Ist class.We had a most enjoyable lunch.Besökare
