Om Raven
When planning Raven bar and restaurant in the Albert Dock, Liverpudlian restaurateur Rob Guttman set himself the unenviable task of 're-inventing the Irish pub'. And to his credit, his daunting mission has been a stunning success. Raven is an Irish-American themed grill and beer hall, and to sum it up Guttman says it's all about Guinness, champagne, steaks, soda bread and oysters. Located in the Albert Dock's Britannia Pavillion, Raven is popular with a buzzy after-work crowd, and signature dishes include the Ballymaloe mussels cooked with Guinness and served with fresh bread; the Irish Hereford fillet steak with Colcannon mash and cider apple gravy; and the Caffreys beer battered cod with home made chips and minted peas.
