Om Rajpoot Restaurant
Set in a charming Georgian building in Clifton, Rajpoot is one of Bristol's finest Indian restaurants. Set over two levels, the interior is equally traditional - complete with crisp linen tablecloths, silver cutlery and huge windows overlooking the Downs. The menu covers the principal regions of India and includes familiar favourites, cooked as they would be in Indian homes. Popular dishes include the tandoori trout barbecued over a clay over; lamb shashlik; and chicken chat served with a twist of lemon and minted yoghurt dressing.

Our dinner at the Rajpoot was, on the whole, enjoyable but was spoiled by a diner on our neighbouring table whose conversation both in its volume and content distracted us from the food and the general experience.The only blame that can be levelled at the restaurant for this negative input was the closeness of the tables but in fairness this person's volume would bridge most inter table spaces! The food and service were more than adequate but I fear I was unable to enjoy them to the full.

The prices at Rajpoot appear expensive at first but then you notice that rice is included with every main dish. The setting is wonderful, very different from all other Indian restaurants I've been to. It's actually pretty posh, set in a traditional town house in Clifton with silver cutlery, luscious padded dining chairs and huge windows overlooking the downs. The food was above average as well. i would recommend this restaurant and would go again.Recension
First time at this restaurant and the experience was good. Tasty food,good portions, and nicely presented. We were surprised to see how small the restaurant was and our table was near the door into it. When a better table became free, in the window, we were asked if we would like to move there before serving our food. Charming staff too. Only downside was the parking and as we ordered white wine, a cooler would have been nice.Besökare
