Om Nero Restaurant
Overlooking historic Gansevoort Market, Nero Italian restaurant is a terrific outpost of warmth and vitality in one of the hippest neighbourhoods on the planet, New York’s Meatpacking District. You can idle hours away under the scarlet awnings at one of the tables overlooking Greenwich Street. Or enjoy a meal in a rustic dining room with exposed brick walls, wooden tables and chairs, and an ambience than manages to be both pure Italian and pure West Village – no mean feat. Gino will see you to your table. The menu features strong dishes like carpaccio of filet mignon with marinated artichokes, shaved parmigiano, mache and arugula dressing, pasta course of crab meat spaghettini with saffron sauce and asparagus tips, main course of oven-roasted veal tenderloin with shallots, sage and potato tart, and dessert of dulce de leche cheesecake. Italians enjoy bitter amaro as an aperitif, but at Nero restaurant it seems to be just as popular taken with coffee. Private parties can enjoy a menu created just for them in the casual, laid-back atmosphere of Nero.Booking Tip: Please try to make your New York booking at least 48 hours in advance.

What a great lively place Nero's is! Full of happy, trendy, local New Yorkers. Felt part of the New York scene, but not the place for a quiet romantic dinner. The service was top notch.The wine list a little limited, but the recommendation by the waiter was excellent. The food was well prepared and whilst plentiful, the quantities not over-facing as sometimes happens in New York.

Nero is in the meatpacking district of New York and so we expected it to be pricey but the food was so amazing that we all left thinking it was in fact excellent value for money. The atmosphere is great - very buzzy and friendly service. It is a tavern-type restaurant, candle lit in a great location. Would fully recommend.Recension
A good meal, in slightly cramped surroundings, although this gave a good opportunity to chat to the people sitting next to us! The food was good Italian fare, well presented with efficient service. Not the best restaurant I've ever been to, but certainly not the worst by far.Besökare
