Tucked away in the ancient hill village of Estoi in an 18th century villa – the hotel is set in a protected preservation area filled with landscaped gardens complete with lagoons, lakes and waterfalls offering guests the ultimate luxury - unpretentious privacy. The Michelin recommended restaurant at Monte do Casal – The Old Coach House - has a traditional dining room with all the trimmings, and a beautiful terrace shaded by palm trees and bougainvillea along with an award-winning French menu, and the restaurant's signature dish is the Seafood Monte Casal – tiger prawns, langoustines, prawns and monkfish on rice with a Monte do Casal cheese sauce.
