Om Memsaab - Banbury
Banbury’s Mem Saab restaurant offers a distinctive blend of the contemporary values of Indian cuisine with a contemporary sophistication, making it ideal for fine, spicy dining. Stylish but informal, there is a strong emphasis on keeping traditions alive, leading to the inclusion of many exciting dishes on Mem Saab’s menu which might not feature at a less ambitious Indian restaurant. Alongside the likes of quails with dhanya and tandoori gigna (king prawns), a large selection of vegetarian curried dishes are on offer on this wide and enticing menu, as are one of two British favourites for those not to keen on the hot stuff.
Opening hours:
Mon - Sun 5pm - 10:30pm
The restaurant has named different parts of the menu after important Indian historical figures, for example the Indira Ghanid Mem Saab collection, named after India’s first woman prime minister.

Always have a nice meal at Mem Saab. It's just a bit different than your normal curry house, although it is a bit more expensive as well. Food was great, although the curry I ordered came out very very mild when I ordered it hot. However this was replaced with no fuss and it was delicious when it returned. The range of starters is mouthwatering, and there is a good selection of mains as well. I would definitely recommend it.Recension
Very welcoming, promptly shown the bar area and offered drinks. Chef was happy to alter dishes to suit my own tastes, offerred a choice of tables. Nice ambience. It was busy even though we dined late in the evening. Good value for money and gorgeous food.Recension
