With chef Jordi Herrera, famed equally for his commitment to classic Catalan cooking and for his bountiful creativity, at the helm, Manairo is a wonderfully modern restaurant with its feet on the ground. The name is taken from local mythology, while the decor is playfully up-to-the-minute. Smart, with sleek design, white table linens and fine service, Manairo is a pocket-sized gem where the patron visits each table. Starters may include smoked bonito tuna with pine nut salad, main course of foie gras and carquinolis de pasas with orange, apple,and judias sauce, dessert of vine-ripened peach with yoghurt and pineapple.

A bank transfer corresponding to €50 per person is required for bookings of 10 people or more.

Recension

Manairo is great place to try new taste sensations esp. with the taster menu. It is not my cup of tea as found the food a little bland for my personal tastes. The atmosphere is a little quiet as well but great for impressing someone.

Recension

Went for the Jorde's 7 course degustation menu - quite sublime and terrific value. In most other european cities it would have cost half as much again. For foodies a must whilst in Barcelona.

Recension

The quality of the dishes - from the two exquisitely crafted spoon-size starters to the beef fillet main course - is just stunning. It is my first time in Barcelona and Manairo has shown me how sophisticated the culinary scene is, and what good service really means. For all its attempt at becoming a city for foodies, London still has a lot of catching up to do! The only setback to my evening at Manairo's was my stomach's failure to cope with the relatively heavy food, but that's just me.
