Positioned on Ludgate Hill with views over St Paul’s Square, Locanta offers a relaxed, convivial atmosphere with just the right amount of city bustle. Set in an old Victorian building, Locanta is packed with gorgeous period details, complimented by smart décor and furnishings. Pick a second floor table right by the window and enjoy a birds eye view of passers by through huge sash windows as you dine. Locanta’s Italian and Mediterranean menu has a fresh, summery feel whatever the time of year. Indulge in a freshly baked pizza at lunchtime or treat yourself to a three course feast of salads and grills made from carefully sourced ingredients from national and international markets.

A pleasant restaurant with very friendly staff. Our starters and desserts were excellent; the main courses were OK but no different to the ones we've had a numerous similar restaurants. The wine was also not as impressive as it's write up but, overall, the friendliness and welcoming atmosphere made for a pleasant experience.

Had a lovely evening at Locanta on Sat, upstairs is much more comfortable than down but the toilets are a very,very long way down very steep stairs! Soup was piping hot, as it should be, Ginger mushrooms were nice but didn't taste of ginger. Steak was perfectly cooked and delicious, as were the lamb and Veal T-Bone (a first for all of us). Seabass (a special) was tasty but the other special of Monkfish was not available. Staff were very friendly and efficient and both bottles of wine excellent.Recension
On a Monday night the restaurant was empty so poor ambience BUT service and food more than made up for this. Swordfish was particularly good. We were expecting Italian menu but food was Meditterannnean with Greek as well as Italian influences.Besökare
