You can't miss Las Iguanas on Leicester's Belvoir Street. Everything about this place is bold, bright and proud of it! Exotic music and decor surround happy waiting staff who get on well with the fun crowd who soak up Las Iguana's infectious Latino quirkiness. The food is good; a tempting range of traditional tapas, salads and wraps next to more formal dishes such as moqueca, a light Brazilian coconut curry. Great flame-grilled Argentinean steaks. There are plenty of South American treats to try in the bar, too. Not least the caipirinhas and the house drink, Las Iguanas Magnifica Cachaca (Brazil's national spirit, distilled from sugar cane).

Recension

We chose Las Iguanas for our re-union with close friends as it seemed to promise a buzzy atmosphere with interesting, Latin American food - it did not disappoint. We all enjoyed the occasion which was further enhanced by the 2 for 1 cocktail offer. Even a noisy children's party close by did not interfere with our shared sense of occasion. Good value, great service - recommended.

Recension

Las Inguanas in Leicester is an absolute treat. Delicious food in a young and funky setting with great decor and friendly staff. The food was brilliant with some interesting combinations - we ate from the early dinner special menu (starter and main for £7.50) and portions were generous. Cocktails are buy 1 get 1 free during happy hour and beers are dirt cheap. Heaven! When I go to Leicester again I will definitely be going back... wish we had one in London!
