Om L'Absinthe
L'Absinthe has been a bistro for decades, conveniently sited near the Louvre and Tuileries, but since the Michel Rostang group have taken it over and extended it, it has become something of a haute bistro. Still relaxed, still low-key, but with a bit of Manhattan about it as well as Paris. The dishes are bistro-style with aspiration. Try starter of chestnut velouté with floating discs of wild boar terrine, main course of scallops on rosemary brochette with crushed potatoes, and pudding of pear tatin with walnut sauce and caramel. On sunny days, try for a table on the lovely terrace and let Paris pass at your feet.

L'absinthe was a lovely restaurant. The food and atmosphere was quirky and comfortable. The lamb was fantastic and would recommend the prawn starter. With chocolate cake to finish, it was the end of a perfect eveninRecension

Had a fantatstic meal in Absynthe whilst in Paris the other weekend. The food was amazing (crayfish ravioli to start was the best I've ever eaten!), service was brilliant (apart from one rather grumpy waiter) and it was really good value for money. We paid around €110 for 2 of us for 2 courses and a bottle of wine. In fact we enjoyed it so much that I recommended it to friends who were in Paris the following weekend and they loved it too.Besökare
