Kym's has placed an awning with a thick hedge of green between itself and the busy world, as if to create an oasis of greenery and calm for its guests. A Chinese restaurant specialising in Szechuan and Hunan cuisine, Kym's offers a warm welcome, an intimate atmosphere and attentive service. High praise is given to the double cooked pork and for vegetarians, the salt and pepper French bean. Massive menu made less daunting by the six set meals including vegetarian and pre-theatre. Very good wine list.

Kym is the maiden name of the owners grandmother, whose recipes are the underlying roots of Kym's menu.

Recension

Kym's was a pleasant restaurant with very attentive staff. The food was good/ above average but nothing special. The wantons in chilli sauce were exciting but the Peking scampi and noodles lacked zing.

Recension

As usual the food was of good quality. Kym's has always been one of those chinese places that I will pop into if I was too lazy yo head to Leicester. Food and ambience are pretty consistent. One thing has surely changed is the size of the serving though, gone smaller but oh well the food is equaly good. Recommended to try the steam sea bass £16, big serving but tasty. Very close to the ones you get from home, just a little too oily.

Recension

The vegetarians in my party were impressed by the choice offered as it was different to other restaurants. The food was average and came suspiciously quickly.
