Keswick Restaurant is situated in the charming Underscar Manor, a grand country house set in its own forty acres of grounds in the Lake District National Park in Applethwaite, Cumbria. The award-winning restaurant, overseen by Pauline and Derek Harrison, has views of the picture-perfect gardens, which stretch all the way to Lake Derwentwater, and the surrounding Fells of Borrowdale, providing a memorable and unique dining experience. The Head Chef, Robert Thornton – Pauline’s brother – oversees an assured and classic menu at Keswick Restaurant which features favourites such as ravioli of lobster with seared king scallops, spinach and a brandy and elderflower sauce, superb Aberdeen Angus cuts of beef and organic poultry.

Mon - Sun 12pm - 1pm & 7pm - 8:30pm

Underscar Manor, We have been to many restaurants over many years and few can claim to have the quality of food and service of this restaurant. We would have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant to anyone. Maurice and Julia Cassidy

Underscar Manor is a beautiful setting.The staff are immaculately turned out and attentive.The amuse geuse are a delight and the starters were well presented and well cooked (seared scallops and lobster in beer batter ).The main courses however was a little too busy for my personal palate but none the less well presented.Rasperrry souffle desert was lovely and a good coffe in the ambient lounge rounded off a nice experience.

Perfect setting for a delicious meal among the hills. Stunning views and fantastic value for money. 3 course lunch deal included coffee and home made chocolates all for £28. Excellent champagne cocktails too.
