Food was good but there was a sort of diners' apartheid in that all the foreigners were put in one inside room which was not the "real" restaurant as far as I was concerned. Good waiters though.

In't Spinnekopke - very interesting restarant and very traditonally Belgium. Night we went was very busy so had to wait in the kitchen until table was ready. (Free canapees and beer given in compensation). Excellent food and beer - really extraordinary. Interesting service - a little rushed and very sardonic. Front is a traditional bar and tables are in a room behind the kitchen - lovely decor and a real bustle. Recommend highly but do book or you are unlikely to be seated.

The meal at In't Spinnekopke was brilliant and the service was lovely. Highly recommend a visit to this restaurant if you want to experience a true Belgium restaurant at reasonable prices.

Recension
We visited In't Spinnekopke on a busy Saturday night a few weeks before Christmas. Although jammed, it's a fun place, great beer and the food is pretty good, too. Service (in perfect English) remained very good even though it was busy. Prices are reasonable given Brussels is expensive - in all, a very good experience.

In't Spinnekopke The restaurant was a short walk away from the main tourist area however, upon arrival we were pleased to see a traditional looking restaurant that was busy and had a lively atmosphere. Our waiter was very friendly and talked us through various 'artisan' beers that we might wish to try with our meal. The food that we tried (fillet steak and pork in beer sauce) was cooked to perfection. Overall a good experience.

In't Spinnekopke is a fantastic restaurant tucked away on a little sqaure that we would never have found without Toptable. The atmosphere was great, with every tabke taken so booking is strongly advised. The food was superb, the pheasant casserole was really tasty and the steak was great (although medium came as medium so not the usual under-cooking you might expect in French food). Altogether a great evening and would definitely go back.

In't Spinnekopke served up a memorable meal for our party of ten. The food is traditional, wholesome, Belgium fare at its best. Being a party of ten we ordered a fair variety of starters and mains: we tried a little of each others dishes and not one failed to delight. Not to be outdone by the food, the Sancerre was, quite simply, one of the best I have ever tasted. The bill for ten: e520 (aperitif, starter, main, desert, liqueur, coffee, water and wine). Excellent value.

In't Spinnekopke is fabulous. Recommend the house aperatif - white beer with cherries, the mussels (some as big as your fist!), Spinnokopke fois gras, and the scallops. We liked it so much we went back again the next night! Both meals were very reasonable and the food delicious. Wish there was one in London!

In't Spinnekopke was cold and draughty on the night of our visit so perhaps we should have waited until summer! Waiters like they were in Paris in the '70s. Red wine arrived cold and the bill included 2 beers that weren't ours. Food on the bland side - cooking in beer doesn't seem to reach the parts that cooking in wine does! Not worth the walk. Packed though - locals seem to like it!
