A real get-away-from-it-all spot, in the heart of Bordeaux’s green and luscious Landes de Gascogne, the Hostellerie du Clos Pite is a family run hotel which also boasts a lovely restaurant. Like stepping in to the dining room of a good friend or favourite aunt, the surroundings are cosy and comfortable, with a classical décor – burgundy and white tablecloths, tables huddled around an impressive stone fireplace. Outside you’ll find a suntrap terrace where a chilled glass of wine and delicious meal can be enjoyed as the sun sets. Owner and chef Catherine Badets offers an experimental take on traditional French fayre, using locally sourced ingredients and worldwide inspiration.
