The Garden Restaurant at the Royal Adelaide Hotel in Windsor has a near-perfect location just five minutes’ from Windsor Castle, the Thames and the town centre. There’s been a lot of buzz locally about the recent refurbishment here, making the Garden Restaurant elegantly updated traditional in style, with white table linens, upholstered seating, gilt mirrors, neutral colours and garden views. Do start your meal with a drink in the lounge overlooking the Long Walk. Then enjoy award-winning modern British cuisine that employs the finest local ingredients in an ever-changing seasonal menu. The Garden Restaurant’s Sunday lunch is a local favourite, too.

The Garden Restaurant is a pleasant enough venue for Sunday lunch but the ambience was not great. This may have been because it was mid November and we were the only people in the restaurant.

I dined here at lunchtime on Boxing day with my husdband, inlaws and 2 young children. My first impression was that this was quite an old fashioned and traditional restaurant/hotel(a coach full of guests were leaving on our arrival). The location was good, central, but peaceful, with pleasant views. The waiter was friendly, and helpful and offered us a good childrens menu to browse. We were, like the other reviewer the only customers in the restaurant though.
