Om Fishers in the City
Fishers Bistro way out in Leith has been such a success that Edinburgh was practically begging for a branch closer to town, here is a smart, stylish, modern bistro in New Town with all the virtues of the original Fishers: superb ingredients, memorable cooking, fleet and caring service, and great atmosphere. Fish is still the raison d'etre, although you'll find a very few non-piscatorial dishes on the constantly-changing menu. Try starter of oysters, the poached Lindisfarne ones if they're in season when you're on site, main course of stuffed whole sea bass with chorizo, mozzarella and olives, and dessert of chocolate truffle cake with wild berry coulis. Great staff, smartish decor, relaxed ambience.
Please note - this restaurant does not take toptable bookings on Friday and Saturday evenings.

Fishers in the city is a quaint little restaurant just north of princes street. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very buzzy with a lovely large fish tank with a variety of species to look at whilst eating the largely fish based menu. Food and service cannot be faulted leading to a most enjoyable evening. Would recommend.Besökare
