Fisherman’s Lodge Restaurant in Jesmond Dene is a haven of calm a short drive from Newcastle centre. Long famous as a superb seafood restaurant, Fisherman’s Lodge was just named best Newcastle restaurant by Tatler magazine. Any questions? It is a stylish, elegant stone Victorian lodge, surprisingly spacious inside with luxurious fittings. Head Chef Jamie Walsh uses the best local lamb, beef and venison for his meat dishes and the freshest fish from the quay at North Shields for the core seafood offerings. But what’s truly special is that Fisherman’s Lodge is set right in the middle of a beautiful woodland valley, yet it’s only five minutes from the centre of Newcastle. Unbeatable.

Disappointing. Had not been for a few years and was expecting more.Food was nice but litte more lthough maybe because it was a Christmas menu. Service was good.

The Fishermans Lodge is famous for being expensive and we were not disappointed.Unfortunately the tempura king prawns were soggy and the restaurant had run out of the £17 a bottle shiraz but just managed to find a cabernet sauvignon for £25. Something to talk about at dinner parties.Recension
A very good meal, well cooked and well presented with sensibly priced wines. I would recommend Fisherman's Lodge and will definately use it again when in Newcastle.Besökare
