Om Elephant Royale - Gants Hill
It’s true that you get what you pay for. If it’s authentic royal Thai cuisine of the highest quality you’re after, then allow Elephant Royale to give your local, soggy Thai a run for its money. This restaurant offers an authentic Siamese theatre. The dining room is reached by a small bridge over a stream filled with colourful Koi Carp. There’s even a waterfall. Add the plants, imported artefacts and traditionally-dressed waiting staff and the Elephant Royale makes quite an impression. Happily, so does the food. All the tempting Thai classics are here - tom yum soup, spicy salads, chicken satay, red, yellow and green curries, pad thai… To get a real taster go on a Sunday when you can choose from tens of buffet dishes. Live music on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
A £10 non- refundable deposit is required for a tables of seven diners and above.

I have been her many times before, however this time the tom yum soup was slightly disappointing, The whole meal felt like it has been rushed, would have been better if there had been greater lengths of time between starters and the main meal.

This one has better ambience than the one in docklands - with live music. The crab curry was nice and i thoroughly enjoyed the smoothies they had. I had a lovely time here and would come again - hopefully special offers available on top table.Recension
Food as always was excellent, service was slow even though there were only a handful of tables in the restaurant. Toilets could do with a bit of a re-vamp now, and although the live music is good, it did get slightly annoying. Will be going back though, by far one of the best Thai restaurants around1Besökare
