Om Earl's
Earls, which you’ll find in the heart of Ampthill in Bedfordshire, provides a casual bistro setting in which to enjoy authentic French and English food. The menu is always evolving, though all dishes are made with the freshest ingredients available and regular nights, such as a la carte on Wednesday or each Thursday’s opportunity to sample one of a dozen fish dishes, are a big hit with regulars. A cosy and easy going yet simultaneously efficient and elegant restaurant, Earls also sometimes lays on entertainment for its diners, such as the occasional appearance of a classical guitarist on Friday evenings.
Please note that last orders at this restaurant are at 9:30pm.

The restaurant, with its original exposed beams and wooden floors, is a sixteenth century listed Tudor building.

Had a lovely meal at Earl's on Saturday night. The restaurant was quiet when we arrived at 7pm, but full and buzzing by the time we left. The food was perfectly cooked; I had the sea bass which was particularly good, others in my party had the lamb and pork with starters of pigeon and the seafood tapas. Our evening was a resounding success and I would certainly recommend Earl's to others for a great meal in a stylish but cosy restaurant. NB. We were able to chat all evening without shouting.

Dinner at Earls restaurant in sleepy Ampthill is an ideal out of town location for a buisness dinner or for friends to enjoy an evening out. The service could not be faulted, the food was superb & not what I expected, I was pleasantly surprised & would highly recommend Earls for its varied menu, fine cuisine & friendly staff.Recension
We visited Earls of Ampthill on a satuday evening and couldn't fault the food or service one bit. The portions sizes where perfect (meaning we could have 3 courses!) the food was delicious and the service was very friendly without being invasive. There is a limited menu which means that what they do serve is great, I had the monkfish which was cooked to prfection. The only downside was that we were stuck in a corner with not too much room! Would highly recommend for a small group or couples.Besökare
