Doney @ The Westin Excelsior is one Rome restaurant that didn’t have to be so beautiful, so elegant, so highly accomplished. Its location on the famous Via Veneto would have been enough to attract the diners, but Doney has much more. It is a sumptuous restaurant with classically inspired decoration, elegant leather seating, soaring ceilings with clerestory windows, and antique details. The ambience is both formal and relaxed. The view over the famous street is divine. Doney combines the best of the past with the elegance of the 21st century. The menu, under head chef James Foglieni, features Mediterranean cuisine based on the freshest, lightest ingredients. Live jazz fills the air during the Sunday brunch, and innovative vegetarian dishes are always available. Open from breakfast through late supper, Doney @ Westin is an unforgettable destination.

Went to Doney on 30th December- had drinks in the fabulous, v cool bar first and then supper in the restaurant. The service was excellent, second to none. The tables by the picture windows looking over the street are the best. We also find the prices very competitive - about £100 for 2 people with 2 courses and wine, coffee etc. We would highly recommend Doney to anyone wanting a glamorous evening out in Rome. If any criticism, only that the portions were too generous for us Londoners!

A lovely restaurant attached to The Westin Excelsior.We had a terrific meal from start to finish but it was very quiet due to the time of year (November).Would like to go back when there is a busier atmosphere.All the staff were very friendly and helpfull and the food was excellent.Recension
Staff were very attentive and general level of service was excellent. Menu was explained clearly and food was of a good standard and very nicely presented. But what would really bring us back to this restaurant is the way we were looked after. Ambience in the restaurant was probably only lacking because it was a quiet rainy Monday night.Besökare
