Ever wondered what it’d be like to hang out in Liberace’s living room? Milan’s Chandelier Restaurant Living Bar is in an unapologetically outlandish world of its own. And the capital’s fashionistas absolutely love it. So hot is this red-carpeted lounge restaurant, Jean Paul Gaultier and Donatella Versace party here. Milanese creative genius Antonio Coppola is responsible for the crazy Moulin Rouge meets Louis XV look of baroque thrones, Moroccan beds, mannequins in lace underwear, gilt-edged tables and, of course, the glittering eponymous chandeliers. The eclectic Modern Mediterranean food’s fancy, of course, and not for those on a budget, but the highlight is simply playing a part in the achingly beautiful, super-sexy and exclusive Chandelier scene.
