Recension

Brian Maule's was a fantastic experience all round. Although the restaurant is expensive, it is exactly what you would expect for fine dining so the final amount was in no way grudged. The service was excellent as was their wine. I would not hesitate to go back to try some of the other dishes on offer. Nice touch also: Brian came out to talk to the diners during the meal; the atmosphere was most definitely comfortable and warm.

Lunch @ Chandor d'or was good value and the food was well presented with extremely attentive but not overbearing staff. Brian Maule took ten minutes of his time after our meal to have a general chat about how things went for us. This was a nice touch which added to our already positive luncheon experience and was much appreciated. Will definetely return.

I recently dined at Brian Maule at d'Or Restaurant with three friends. We had a truly delicious meal. The service was excellent.

Recension

Brian Maule in Glasgow was very pleasant. The food was exquisite but the price wasn't. Drinks were expensive as was the cheese platter over £10 for a selection of smelly cheeses which no one finished off!!

Chardon d'Or is in an excellent location with superb ambience and excellent service. Ideal place to take the special woman in my life--which unfortunately I did. We had the set menu which was pure gastropub--even the head waiter agreed! He said that the lunch clients liked lamb and mash, but they would. The belly of pork salad was a few bits of crispy bacon and 2 lettuce leaves. The mark up on the wine averages 500%. Could do very much better.

A late booking and because of which I accepted a late table (9.00pm) However, we were forced to wait until 9.40 to be seated and nearly 10.00pm until our starter arrived. This could have been made to be a little more bearable if some appologies had been made from the management (or even perhaps a drink on the house). When we did get seated I have to say our meal was outstanding and the wine was fantastic. Unfortunately though, the wine waiter who had been very attentive early on, forgot about us

I really enjoyed Brian Maule at Chardon d' Or - the restuarnat was buzing even at pre-threate. The set menu was very good, but it woudl have been even better to eat A la Carte.

Recension

Brian Maule at Chardon D'or. Excellent value for money, food was freshly coked , hot and nicely presented. Portion sizes were adequate.Wouldn't normally choose a fish dish, however, the smoked haddock starter was delightful. Chicken Supreme was also very good. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this restaurant, it was good to be able to choose a nice wine at an affordable price.
