Bistro West 156 restaurant is a shining star in West Didsbury’s thriving Burton Road restaurant scene, a quirky corner south of Manchester that’s a foodie heaven. Bistro West 156’s pocket-friendly traditional cooking cuts out all the malarkey to deliver modern British dishes – real food -- that fans adore. The rustic dining room with its granite topped tables, blackboard specials and changing local art displays sets a relaxed tone. Everything is home made, and customer favourites include superbly-cooked comfort classics like fish pie, Chicken Kiev and Bistro West 156’s very own melting chocolate pudding. You will succumb. The warm welcome and tables outside entice you to linger.
Please be aware that this venue does not take 8pm bookings on Friday and Saturday evenings.

Food excellent, restaurant small and nicely intimate. Very noisy later on but it was Sat night before Xmas. Only criticism is when we arrived the restaurant was empty but we were placed at the table nearest the door, Assumed it was fully booked so accepted it. It was drafty with people coming and going including smokers whose aroma lingered around our table. Two other couples without bookings came after us but they were given choices where to sit. Will return but insist on another table

Bistro 156 is rapidly becoming a 'must-visit' when I'm in Manchester - although next time I may steer clear of the crab gratin. Decidedly unpleasant effects the following day!Besökare
