Standing in five lush acres of beautiful English countryside, Bankfield House Country Hotel and Restaurant personifies genteel traditional Englishness. Using predominantly local ingredients, including both Cumbrian fish and game, the restaurant has gained a reputation for good, wholesome cooking. Open all day for breakfast, lunch, traditional afternoon teas and dinner. The traditional Sunday lunch is a local favourite, and considered the speciality of the house.

A credit card is needed for groups and larger parties.A non-refundable deposit is taken and the balance is due on the day.
