Aurora Restaurant and Bar, at the Great Eastern Hotel in the City of London, is one of capital’s more magnificent dining rooms. The interior of Aurora is grand and dramatic with a huge stained-glass dome, seating 100 in well-spaced, luxurious comfort. Aurora is City-oriented at lunch – efficient, professional service and the option of a set-price menu – but more informal in the evening. Open Monday to Friday for lunch and dinner, but closed on weekends.

great food. atmosphere OK - very much a venue for City workers. aurora is very nice for a treat, but expensive.

When to Aurora last night for dinner. Arrived and spent the next 5 hours eating and drinking. It might have been less had we not had to wait so long for our drinks at the bar. The bar staff completely ignored me for 5 minutes and it wasn't busy! However the waiting staff were much, much better and knew their stuff when it came to the food and drink. Some were a bit to quick to try and remove empty glasses from the tabel which weren't! And at £9 for a G&T I had to wrestle it back, twice. V.Good.

This was the second time I'd been, after a two year gap. Food was still excellent, particularly what drew me back... the cheese trolley.Besökare
