Two steps from Montparnasse, in a neighbourhood that is typically Parisian, The Moulin Vert is constructed on the site of a former windmill that was replaced by a dance hall in 1848 and like the song says :

The Paris Elite romantic such as (Musset, Georges Sand, and Victor Hugo amongst others) use to gather often in this tavern. The place was so charming that everybody took advantage of the great atmosphere and the exquisite food. It's still the case today!
