Om Albert's Table
Set just south of the centre of South End in Croydon, Albert's Table is a charming restaurant serving quality British food. Run by chef/owner Joby Wells, who trained at The Square and The Orrery, Albert's Table is a relaxed venue that is always buzzing with a business lunch trade, and a well-heeled gourmet-loving crowd in the evenings. Spacious and calm, the Victorian dining room is dressed up with wooden tables, cosy corduroy banquettes and large colourful photographs of the English countryside printed on canvas. Locals love the Hampshire pork with butternut squash, fondant potatoes, cabbage and sage; the bread and butter pudding with rum and raisins; and the reasonably priced wine list.
Please note - on Friday and Saturday evenings this restaurant does not take toptable bookings from 7:30pm to 9pm.
Opening hours:
Tues - Sat 12pm - 2:30pm & 6:30pm - 10:30pmSun 12pm - 3:30pm

Alberts Table was great! A wonderful new addition in the middle of South Croydon! Once sat at your table you are looked after very well and forget that you are in the middle of South Croydon. The food and service was really good, lots of nice little touches. I would defiantly go again, perhaps on a Saturday night when it would be a bit buys/noisy as Thursday night was a little quite. There is no background music so you need customers to make the atmosphere noisy and buzzy!Recension
Alberts Table was really lovely. The duck salad to start had a great taste combination of crunchy and soft, sweet and savoury. The beef was very tender and had a naughty creamy gratin to accompany it. The Argentinian red wine was a good choice with this food too. I was slightly disappointed as there was no cheesecake left, although it gave me the option of choosing the apple pancake - the taste was lovely, although the apple slices could have been a little smaller and softer. Overall great!Recension
We went to Albert's Table for Sunday Lunch. The interior is very cosy with nice calming decor- this must work well because there were several families there some with babies in prams, and still the atmosphere was calm! The service was good- they let us have three servings of lovely warm bread at no extra cost. We had to wait a little for some water but this was surpassed by the excellent food- we had crab tart followed by the roast beef which was v. tasty. We will definitely return.Besökare
