What a gem! I am so pleased I took the advice of the other Toptable reviews as this restaurant is really special. The food was fantastic. Each course was cooked to perfection, with all the tastes and courses complimenting each other. The staff were very pleasant. The restaurant was quiet but this didn't matter because the food was so good. I would definitely recommend and definitely return.

The Acquolina Hostaria is a bit out of town (approx 10-15 mins by Taxi from the Spanish Steps), and in a rather downbeat part of town. Main restaurant was emtpy when we arrived, but the terrace was quite lively. The service here is first class, and spot on timing, ( they were not busy). We went for the Tasting Menu, which was excellent, although one dish was rather salty and to be honest, by the end of it we were pleased there was no more fish to come! Overall GREAT! if you like lots of fish.

A very professional and knowlegable team. Unfortunate that the location lets them down. The food was magnificent and the Somelier fantastic in suggesting a great wine. I would go there again.

We were on honeymoon in Italy, and booked this restaurant for our trip to Rome. We could not have picked a better place! Andréa (sp?) was the most helpful, thoughtful person you could have waiting on you - he made the meal a delight! The food was delicious, so fresh, so well cooked and presented, and such obvious love and attention gone into every little detail, both me and my husband would recommend it to anyone who loves food. Superb!

Recension

Acquolina Hostaria is roughly about 15 minutes from the centre of Rome and in an odd area, but the food was really very good. I did not appreciate the wine we ordered appearing after the Chef's welcome dish, but apart from that, the service was indulgent. The fish was supremely fresh and imaginatively presented. The chef is clearly a talented individual and one to watch!

An experience! Well worth the taxi ride,as about 20 minutes from the centre of Rome. Beautifully designed restaurant. Recommend the taster menu - 8 courses of different fish, cooked in a variety of styles. - all delicious. Knowledgeable and helpful waiting staff. Good [if slightly expensive] wine list. A wonderful evening.
