Don't go to 5th View Bar and Food for a quick lunch the service is incredibly slow and we had to ask twice for our coffees. Very expensive for what it is, a cafe in a bookshop

Nice cafe style place to escape the hustle of central london during the day, lots of people about but felt relaxed. Service was attentive, and quick, essential for a quick lunch. Would visit again!

5th View Bar & Restaurant at Waterstone's, Piccadilly. (Note: they close at 10pm) Had a surprise birthday party there for my boyfriend. There were 10 of us and we had 4 sets of sofas with good view. Service was good and we had a cocktail each + 3 bottles of wine. Drinks prices were average but the snacks were a bit pricey so just ordered a few plates. Turned out just over £22 each. Anyway it had a relaxing atmosphere and we had a great time.

Was pleasantly surprised by this nice airy restaurant. Agree with others menu very limited but does fine for lunch & the fresh in-house tarts were excellent - with choices of salads & dressings ideal for we girlies (not so sure a man's world!) Had Virgin Bellinins too as not in mood for alcohol & though a little warm were a refreshing change too.

Worst Service in London with some of the Best Tapas in London. My nana always said start with the positives and there are many here. The view is magnificent and the food is gorgeous, with fresh herbs and vegetables making this some of the best tapas in town. The drink list is excellent - have a fresh smoothie and never go to Starbucks again. However the service is so bad I'm not sure whether I'd ever go back with as the waiters are rude, unattentive and indifferent. Shame.

The 5th View Bar at Waterstones is situated upstairs from the fabulous Deco Waterstones Book Store on Piccadilly. And dining with the view across London is incredible. However, we were served the wrong food and did find the food overpriced. Definately somewhere to visit for a quick bite to eat if visiting the capital but I doubt I'll go back again for another quick lunch.

5th View wasn't quite the view I'd hoped for. Tapas & cocktails were lovely, waiters were nice but kept us waiting for a while. Nice atmosphere, but not too exciting. Good for a bite to eat before going onto somewhere else.

Surprising little find, really good food, although the menu is very limted. Great selection of wines/cocktails however. Ideal for meeting up with friends or maybe a first date thats nice but not too intimate - and you can always go and read instead if they're boring! :-)

i love the 5th view - i usually end up going atleast once a week for a little social!! would highly recommend it - great service and extreamly friendly staff!!!
