About Woodborough Hall
Formal dining at Nottinghamshire’s 300 year old Woodborough Hall takes place on the first floor, overlooking the glorious grounds. Among Des Sweeney’s (he’s cooked at Buckingham Palace and The House of Lords) most impressive dishes are a three hour braised venison shank in a rich red wine sauce served with cream potato puree; local pheasant braised with mirepoix, shallots, smoked bacon and burgundy jus served with butter cream potatoes; and risotto of red chard and baby spinach with shaved parmesan and extra virgin lemon olive. Gorgeous.
Woodborough hall is a grade II listed building built in 1600. Since 2005 Woodborough Hall has been lovingly restored and boasts many original features. The hall has both a fine dinning restaurant and a more casual Brasserie and can cater for various event including conferences and weddings

Woodborough HallReview
i went towoodborough hall on thurs 27th dec with my two friends.the service was excellent.my friends ordered the steak which came with chunky chips and the venison which came with mash.both meals looked and tasted great, very good value for money.however i ordered the salmon with pesto.when it arrived it seamed to be a very small potion with pesto drizzled around the plate which came with nothing else,so i had to order a side dish of potatos.overall had a lovely time and will be going back.Review
the dining room at Woodborough Hall is a lovely 1st floor pastel blue space but the service wasn't so great. Our tablecloth had spilled candle wax on the side ... attention to small details is important if they want us convinced this was "fine dining."Visitors
