About Willy's Wine Bar
Just a stones throw from Fenchurch Street Station, under the shadow of the iconic Gherkin, Willy’s Wine Bar is the epitome of a classic drinking den. The sweeping bar dominates the bare brick space and dim lighting gives you the impression of being underground away from the hustle of the city. The clientele is mainly local workers, taking a break from their desks at lunch, doing big business or winding down after a hard day in the boardroom. Willy's Wine Bar offers great British food including fish and chips - considered by many to be the best in London - sandwiches and homemade puddings. Make sure you check out the extensive wine list!
Please note that food is served daily 12pm - 3pm only.
Opening hours:
Mon - Fri 11am - 11pm

We went to Willy's on a Fri lunchtime. The bar and restaurant were both full, this meant that it was very loud. The food makes up for this though. The majority of the menu is fish - which is always very good. We had the crab salad starter which was a special, this was lovely, very fresh and light. For main I had the fish pie, which was very tasty and full of fish (most places seem to have more potato than fish!). My husband had fish and chips which was excellent too.Review
Willy's wine Bar - solid venue, good fish.Review
Service knocked down slightly as they forgot our coffee but still charged us for it, and the ambience is downgraded slightly due to the annoying televisions perched on the walls of the restaurant. The food however is invariably very good and represents excellent value.Visitors
