About Vermilion Cinnabar
Vermillion Cinnabar is a decadent new dining destination on Lord North Street in Manchester. Designed by Miguel Cancio Martins (of the Buddha Bar, Paris) this super-chic Asian fusion restaurant is always buzzing with Manchester's bright young things. The stylish upstairs bar houses an eclectic mix of Buddha statues, designer wallpaper, translucent lamps and egg-shaped cocoons filled with pillows, and its extensive cocktail list is perfect for pre/post dinner drinks. Head Chef Chumpol Jangprai is renowned for his innovative Thai cuisine which he has injected into Vermillion Cinnabar's modern Oriental menu. The restaurant also boasts a private dining room with a revolving red table, climate controlled wine cellars, a chauffeur service, and valet parking.
Please note on Saturday evenings this restaurant only takes bookings up to 7:30pm and from 9pm onwards.

Review
Vermilion Cinnabar as its name suggest is something quite special. The decor and ambience is quite stunning and worth a visit just for that! Ok the food. It is on the whole excellent however the real shock was the classic Tom Yun Goong which was quite awful and smelt of OXO. Because it was so 'bad' I am wondering if it was done to a different recipe that just wasn't to my taste. We had the vermillion set meal which was of a high standard in taste and presentation. Without doubt worth a visit.

We went to Vermilion Cinnabar for lunch on a Friday, the restaurant was quiet but the food and service we excellent. The building itself is amazing!. Been here for lunch quiet a few times, always have the three course set menu for £12.95 and the food is always fabulous. Will definately go again, maybe in the evening as well.Review
from the outside Vermillion Manchester looks like a DFS or something... from the inside what a pleasant surprise, well worth the trip out of town. Inspired interior, very stylish and well themed/suited to the food (although a litte dark to see the menu!). Food did not disappoint, especially at such reasonable rates for the set menus (drinks a little expensive but good cocktails). Also pleased to say that the service was spot on, felt the staff genuinely couldnt do enough for you. We recommend.Visitors
