About Utopia
Utopia is pretty ideal as far as location goes - it's on Innovation Square in Birmingham's financial/legal district. This partly explains the large, professional crowd and good atmosphere. As does the attractive interior - once that of a boozer - featuring little alcoves where you can nestle away from the world. There are three menus - sandwiches, salads and impressive mains. Plus daily specials, like the house mixed grill, £10.25 (too many ingredients to mention, but it's very good). Breakfast is served from 10am, when Utopia begins to fill and pretty much stays that way all day. There's little chance of being seated if you just walk in off the street.

Review
We went to Utopia for lunch and found it offered very little above your average high street chain pub serving food. The food was better than average but probably didn't warrant the price tag, and the atmosphere was very much geared towards business clients. The fish and chips was good - but beware of the bones! The more basic soup and sandwiches were overpriced but tasty. The service did not come with a smile!

The food at Utopia was better than the food at a lot of the surrounding pubs. The fish pie had too much mash to filling but the accompanying vegetables were cooked to perfection. I thought that it was expensive for what it was. The fish pie cost approx £10.45 and a 10% service charge was added.Visitors
