over priced for mediocre food snooty waiters maitre "d" poured glass of champagne with fly in it then continued to pour and finish another glass (expecting us to drink it!!) Bottle was not replaced but we were given 1 free glass. We think we were looked down upon as we didn't dress for occasion, but we wouldn't get out of bed for their wages. Horrible snooty atmosphere, tended to look up to fellow business diners in suits using laptops on the dinner tables. would never eat here again !!!!

Uncle Jack's Steakhouse is the place to go if you're looking for a great steak, good ambience and lovely service. For non-meat eaters, the tuna and salmon were superb. Take a big appetite with you - portions are LARGE. The place is busy, busy and with good reason. We went to the one on 35th and 9th which has a lively atmosphere and which was very accommodating with 2 last minute extra guests. There's another one in Midtown as well.

Uncle Jack's Steakhouse was a experience not too be missed I have never encountered such big steaks ever and they were cooked to perfection and the service was excellant our waiter David could not have been more helpful the only down side would have to have been we should have been advised not to over order as the potions were so big but other than that I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting New York who likes steak.

Two of us shared the Porterhouse at Uncle Jacks. Points to note: do NOT have ANY starters; if you must have a side dish, SHARE one - the baked potatoes are the size of tennis shoes; the wine list is the size of a phone book, so have an idea what you want before opening it. That said, both steak and wine were excellent; pudding should not have been an option, but we were on the TT special offer, so we pigged out on the free sampler. Fun, but you wouldn't want to do it too often.

Uncle Jacks. We had a great time-after reading previous reviews that some people felt that the waiting staff were rude and snooty I can only impress upon future diners that although this is a relaxed all american atmosphere it is still a smart sophistcated restaurant which takes its service food (particulary its meat) very seriously. This is the best steak I have ever had and it is cooked precisely to order. The crab cakes we had to start with were also fantastic. Great value for money.

Uncle jacks steakhouse NY did not have menus but 2 boards that could not be seen by all diners and did not have all the items on. You had to memorise the latino waiters laborious list and had no idea of prices. All a bit too much after running the marathon and not mentioned on the top table site! Food ok but pricey and the wine list extortionate, the house wine poor. I get better at my local Indian restaurant. Cocktails ok but you could not add to your overall bill. Some staff very pompous.
