About Uncle Jack's Steakhouse - Westside
Uncle Jack’s steakhouse restaurant in Manhattan has nerve. ‘New York’s Best Steakhouse’ says the sign -- many of Manhattan’s meat-eaters agree. The décor is high Victorian in the American style: red velvet fringed curtains, chandeliers, leaning mirrors, leather chairs, and proper table linens and crystal. Cosy curving booths attract dating twosomes and dramatic opera boxes overlook the main dining room. Waiters in tuxes zip around the place, making everyone happy. Uncle Jack’s serves only USDA Prime beef dry-aged 21 days, and Kobe beef, as well as a splendid array of seafood and shellfish. Start with the Caesar salad so you’ll have plenty of room for the signature dish, Uncle Jack’s Porterhouse, a 48-ounce prime steak that features both the filet and the New York strip cut (relax, it’s for two people or more), with a side of sautéed onions, then finish with crème brulee, accompanied by something from the award-winning wine list. Near Lincoln Tunnel and very usefully near Madison Square Garden and the Javits Center, Uncle Jack’s gets packed out with Knicks and Rangers fans and there’s always a bubbling atmosphere.

Uncle Jack's was wonderfull, so polite and friendly - Anyone heading to New York, visit them - it's worth every cent!!!Review
over priced for mediocre food snooty waiters maitre "d" poured glass of champagne with fly in it then continued to pour and finish another glass (expecting us to drink it!!) Bottle was not replaced but we were given 1 free glass. We think we were looked down upon as we didn't dress for occasion, but we wouldn't get out of bed for their wages. Horrible snooty atmosphere, tended to look up to fellow business diners in suits using laptops on the dinner tables. would never eat here again !!!!Review
Uncle Jack's Steakhouse is the place to go if you're looking for a great steak, good ambience and lovely service. For non-meat eaters, the tuna and salmon were superb. Take a big appetite with you - portions are LARGE. The place is busy, busy and with good reason. We went to the one on 35th and 9th which has a lively atmosphere and which was very accommodating with 2 last minute extra guests. There's another one in Midtown as well.Visitors
