About Trencherman’s
Trencherman’s restaurant in Petts Wood is something special – London style dining in an an historic half-timbered former Estate Office, the oldest building in the area. The bar area is cosy and welcoming with fireplace, communal tables and bench seating that spills out onto the beautifully-maintained garden terrace in the summer. The dining room is smart and charming, and in summer the terrace is used for dining as well. This modern European restaurant offers a sophisticated menu that incorporates influences from all around the world. The location is absolutely prime, right in the heart of Petts Wood on Station Square and a short train journey from central London. The international wine list is a treat and so is the service.

Review
It was some time since previously visiting Trenchermans restaurant for dinner, we noticed that it had been pleasantly re decorated! While choosing from the selection of a la carte and specials we enjoyed a chilled glass of house champagne. Starters were excellent especially the baby lobster. Main course steak and lamb were very good with a bit too much sauce with the lamb, vegetables (green beans) were quite ordinary. Desserts were good, we would definitely return again soon! V Good value!

We have been going to Trencherman's for a few years now so I'm really pleased they've signed up with toptable! The staff are always friendly and attentive and the food good. It was a shame that the waitress poured our wine without offering us the chance to taste it first but apart from that training issue everything was as good as always. They close for April and I can't wait to see the new refurbished restaurant in May.Review
We visited the Trencherman's last Friday night. The food was well presented but tasted bland. The service was ok, but the biggest disappointment was the atmosphere, perhaps we were just unlucky however the noise combined with the backwards and forwards from the bar in to the restaurant was just terrible. The biggest culprit was an exceptionally loud, vulgar lady whose mouth was the size of the darford tunnel and took over the whole restaurant and bar.Visitors
