About Trattoria Italiana Biagio
Trattoria Italiana Biagio is the original of six Biagio restaurants. Located on cobbled Villiers Street between Charing Cross and Embankment stations, it's only a two minute walk from the Thames in one direction, Trafalgar Square in the other. Dark wood trattoria-style tables and chairs, numerous wine bottles, Italian photographs and prints, and pretty posies on every table create a warm, friendly space in which to enjoy an affordable pizza, pasta or whatever takes your fancy from the generous menu and specials list. The atmosphere is so cosy, it's almost family-like. The most popular tables are those near the window. Lots of tourists eat here, and a business crowd regularly lunch here.

I went with my mother and partner to Trattoria Italiana Biagio for a meal before going to the Theatre at the old Vic. I have been a few times before and love it. It feels exactly like an Italian restaurant in Italy, family run, decorated with Italian gems, homecooked delicious food and Italian staff. I always see Italians eating here which is a good sign and its a popular friendly place as many restaurants in Italy. It has great warmth and atmosphere whether its half empty or full. Go and enjoy!Review
Trattoria isn't the best Italian I've been to, but for a fairly cheap & quick meal before going ice skating 5 mins round the corner at Somerset House, it was ideal. Food was great if not spectacular... spaghetti bolognese was the pick of the mains and the prawns in garlic was a good starter. The service was friendly & attentive and although it's on the main embankment tube walk, it didn't seem too touristy. Cosy place that probably wouldn't impress a first date, but definitely did the trickReview
Trattoria Italiana Biagio is a bustling little Italian near Embankment and it was very busy on the Saturday night we went. The food was fine - nohing special but perfectly reasonable - and service and atmosphere were good, but unspectacular. Overall though, in a city full of decent Italian restaurants, it doesn't do enough to make you want to come back, especially at £30+ per person. Maybe if they had allowed us to use the special offer things might have been different.....Visitors
