Celebrities, business people and locals alike are flocking to the new destination restaurant to discover for themselves if the gastronomic modern French cuisine really is up there with the likes of Gordon Ramsay's. Delectable dishes include roasted foie gras with beetroot pickle and syrup, and roast langoustines with peas and braised veal shin. Formal fine dining in Anouska Hempel Design created surroundings this may be, but stiff-backed penguin-suited waiters are nowhere to be seen. Led by a young, talented husband and wife team, Tom Aikens scooped the 'London Restaurant of the Year' award at the Tio Pepe ITV London Restaurant Awards 2003. Prizes and glam aside, there's even at times a community feel to the place, an attribute that has much to do, no doubt, with the secluded Elystan Street location. Awarded a Michelin star within 10 months of opening, and a second added not far after that.Please note that Tom Aikens restaurant only takes bookings up to 1 month in advance. Should you request a booking further in advance to this, your booking confirmation will be delayed.
Top tips for booking Tom Aikens:

Getting into London’s top restaurants can be tough. Here are some top tips for booking success:

- Book in advance. Top restaurants fill up quickly -- requesting your booking up to three weeks in advance (or more if you can) will help to get you through the door.
- Look for alternative days. Friday and Saturday evenings are the most popular times to dine out. Try dining earlier in the week – Mondays or Tuesdays are good bets.
- Be flexible with times. The most popular booking times are in the mid-evening, so take a look at dining earlier in the evening or even late at night, around 10pm or after.

The restaurant is fully booked one month in advance, and is closed at weekends. Reservations will be confirmed one calendar month prior to your requested date. Please note that we only primarily deal with lunch reservations for this restaurant. Dinner reservations are only available on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday
A credit card is required to reserve a table, if there is availability - this is simply to secure your booking, absolutely no money will be charged to the card except in the case of late cancellations. A fee of £65 per person will be charged for a cancellation within 48 hours, reduction in covers to 3 or below or a no show.

Had a fabulous time at Tom Aikens, the service was very good and the atmosphere refined without being stuffy. We tried the tasting menu with matching wines and were very impressed with the sommelier. The stand out dishes were the scallops with black pudding and the passion fruit dessert. Save some room for the "petits fours" because they're pretty spectacular!

The set lunch at Tom Aikens was sensational as usual. The amuse to start was an inspiration. The set lunch as usual was a dilema as we could have eaten everything on offer - the website set lunch does not do justice to the actual menu. The service was impecable and the petit fours were a meal in themselves. Surely this is one of the best value set lunches in London. A must for a visit.
