About The Spencer Arms
The Spencer Arms is a fine gastropub on the edge of Putney Common. Its large Victorian interior has been modernised with pastel colours, hardwood floors and mismatched furniture to appeal perfectly to the local folk. There's even a family area with books and crayons for the little ones. The adults know their treat lies behind the bar which serves Aspalls cider, and proper beer from London brewers, Fuller's. Where the Spencer’s heart really lies is in its Modern British food. Earthy, honest and inventive, typical dishes include an excellent English salad, pork belly with pickled cabbage, British tapas, peach melba, and (a big hit this summer) chilled raspberry and red wine soup with banana fritters. The menu changes every day and really is fantastic value for money. If you’re not hungry, pop in for a warm spiced cyder punch.
Please note that children are not allowed in the bar area and must be out of the premises by 8:00pm.

The Spencer Arms. Being further out from the centre of Putney it was fairly quiet on a Thursday night but just about busy enough. The food was really great and the service friendly. Not cheap but impressive food - better than some of the nearby 'fancier' restaurants.Review
we had dinner at the spencer arms on a wednesday night. The choice was great and all the food was delicious but a bit over priced for what it was! The service started out great but died toward the end. Overall ok but wouldn't rush back.Review
Took my parents to The Spencer Arms and we had a lovely meal. The menu was not as exciting as it usually is but it was simple food cooked very well. It is slightly an the expensive but given that the food was cooked perfectly we had nothing to complain about!Visitors
