About The Rocket
Is this the coolest place in Acton? Could be. After you make your way through the claret-coloured bar, the pale minimalist palette of the dining room comes as something of a relief. The decor is an inspired pairing of New England Shaker style furniture with gilt mirrors, sparkling chandeliers, and Victorian portraits. There is a very friendly vibe here, both among the regulars and the staff. The modern Italian menu includes more than the average selection of vegetarian dishes. Starters include pepper and crab fritters with home cured salmon and dill crème fraiche, first course of caramelized pumpkin and radicchio risotto, main course of pan-fried duck breast with sweet potato mash, pancetta and Vin Santo reduction, and dessert of very nice sorbets. Wine list features procecco and off-the-beaten-path labels.
Please be aware that the last sitting time for lunch is 3pm.

this is a gem of a local for those lucky enough to live nearby, a genuine pub atmosphere but a great wine list, superb food with relaxed and friendly, inobtrusive service.

Had dinner at the Rocket on Churchfield Road in Acton. The dining room is a gorgeous high ceilinged room, subtly decorated and sparsely furnished with tables, meaning you have some space between yourselves and the next diner. The food was good gastropub, but not hugely exciting - having said that the smoked duck breast salad was beautifully presented! One bonus was the clear attempt to offer at least two vegetarian options per course. Definitely worth a visit,Review
The Rocket is quite a surprise. Is it a pub; is it a restaurant? Well its more than pub grub. Its really good food, quite an acceptablke choice, informal and friendly and a pleasant evening out. It was reasonably full on a Saturday night, but the space needed it to be to lift the atmosphere. I'd go again!Visitors
