About The Restaurant
When Graeme Pacitti opened The Restaurant in West Edinburgh, he
didn't move far from Murrayfield where he had been responsible for
catering for the Scottish Rugby Union. Here, he has created a smart
and relaxed restaurant in which to enjoy his very creative world
fusion cuisine. The Murrayfield shopfront restaurant has wooden
floors, white linen, classic bentwood cafe chairs, exposed brick, and
original art by Scottish artists. The straight-talking menu includes
starter of Scotland's finest haggis with whisky cream sauce, and main
course of medallions of peppered venison coated with blueberry and
thyme sauce. The welcome is warm, the ambience unhurried.
Interesting independently-supplied wine list.

The Restaurant, Edinburgh. The Restaurant Special, both starter and main - excellent, chilli dressing delivered just the right heat. Sticky toffee pudding to die for. Starters set a high standard sadly one of the mains was disappointing - Ribeye steak. Atmosphere relaxed and friendly.Review
The starters were very good though the cod fishcake was a little on the small side.Ribeye steak was excellent.Venison not quite so good. Friendly & efficient staff.Bill moderate.Review
Brilliant for the backwaters near Haymarket, with some interesting things on the menu. It might not be quite good enough to make it a destination visit as it is so far fro mthe city centre, but a meal here would not disappoint.Visitors
