About The Real Greek - Clerkenwell
The Real Greek opened just north of Smithfield Market in April 2003, the welcome offspring of the much-loved The Real Greek down the road in Hoxton. In modern, buzzy, congenial surroundings, all sorts of Londoners and tourists gather to pick 'n' mix their way through delicious mezedes and souvlaki - the Greek version of street food. The kebabs - pork, lamb, chicken and a superb spicy sausage - are all very good and juicy; the authentic Greek -imported flat bread, nicely oily and dense. Favourites include the gigandes plaki (big oven-cooked beans) and tender dolmades. The wine list is completely Greek, and sold in carafes. Just like in Greece. Very good value.
Opening hours:
Mon - Sat 12pm - 11pm

Real Greek serves good food but lacks efficiency and value. Food is overpriced, service is slow, drinks are expensive. My souvlaki sat on the bar for 30 mins and was only served when I asked for it. The kefte wasn't cooked fully - the portions are stingy too. The restaurant had approx 10 diners so no excuse for slow, inattentive service and forgetting orders. I had a 50% discount so I got value for money but I wouldn't recommend it and probably wouldn't go back thereReview
This retsaurant was very over priced. It's lamb was extremly chewable and caused jaw pain on chewing. Service was very slow.Review
Service was really poor, and the food this visit was very average-below averageVisitors
