About The Potting Shed Restaurant & Bar
In 1787,Thomas Lord chose Dorset Square to lay down a cricket ground, which in 1814 moved a mile north to what is now known as Lords. Dorset Square Hotel - home of the Potting Shed Restaurant and Bar - is one of the regency buildings surrounding the tree-filled gardens that would have had a
grandstand view of the game. If you're imagining mini-mountains of terracotta pots, seed boxes, seagrass matting, hand-painted murals and tables adorned with tiny colourful pots, you won't be disappointed.
Obviously, in such surroundings only English food (with the occasional nod to Southern Europe) will do. We recommend the a la carte seared salmon on a white bean cassoulet, while we fancy the pot roast chicken with crushed parsnips from the traditional menu. But keep room for
the apple and rhubarb crumble, of course. Your mother would want it that way.
The Potting Shed has live music every Friday from 7pm.
Opening hours:
Mon - Fri 12:30pm - 2:20pm & 6pm - 10:00pmSat 6pm - 10:00pm Sun 11am - 2:30pm

The Potting Shed was a little hard to find but once we'd found it, we were glad we had! It was a very cosy restaurant in the basement of a very beautiful building. The service was impeccible, the food was devine and it was a perfect venue to entertain business contacts. I'll definitely find an excuse to go again.Visitors
