About The Phoenix
Sister restaurant to Sonny's this airy white walled eatery is much frequented by Putney mummies who go there with their girlfriends for a glamourous lunch and arty types in the evening. Just like Sonny's chef Roger Brook serves up modern British fare with aplomb and the service is relaxed and friendly. A great place for Sunday lunch (£17.50) and you can bring the kids. Lovely sun terrace in the summer. Jerusalem artichoke soup, smoked haddock, spinach, ratte potatoes, poached egg and hollandaise, butternut squash rotolo, crisp sage and pine nuts.

Reliable, dependable & consistent sum up The Phoenix.Review
Pleasant evening overall, but didn't quite hit the mark. Chicken liver/foie gras parfait delicious but the very thin slivers of pitta bread(?) broke up too easily. Proper melba toast or just toast would be better. Only two small scallops with the prawn and scallop skewers, a bit mean. Pork belly tasty, bit dry and very fatty in proportion to meat. Chocolate mousse trio very sweet, not very chocolatey, icecreams/sorbets lovely. Service good, friendly waitress genuinely interested in our comments.Review
We went to the Phoenix for my birthday party in March 07 and the food, service and ambience was fantastic. We then decided to have our wedding dinner there on 3rd Jan 08; before the actual meal the manager jorik was great with offering us the menu choices, then decorating the table for us. likewise on the evening the food was great, speed of service great for 16 covers and they went out of their way to accomodate any requests. Highly recommended for any occasionVisitors
