Oak Room Danesfield House. Impressive over the top building, beautifully appointed inside. Friendly but unobtrusive service - we got the full treatment although on a special deal. Good wine list but overpriced.

This was the 2nd time we have visted the Oak Room at Danesfield house and were looking forward to lunch .Unfortunately it was a cold day and the hotel was not very warm.The restaurant had only 2 tables occuped and it too was cold. The food was good but a little ostentacious the chocolate ice cream on the Brill was too strong in flavour for me .My husband enjoyed the pheasent and the starters were good as was the dessert but the additional 12.5% on the already expensive meal was not warrented

Danesfield Court is a wonderfully imposing venue for an occasion. The atmosphere and service were impeccable. I would have rated the food higher had it been hotter!

I had lunch with my wife in the Oak Room at Danesfield House on 9.7.08 and it was absolutely fantastic in all respects. From the lovely warm greeting at Reception to the excellent bar and to the restaurant itself, it really was a great time. All of the staff are very friendly, courteous and the service is superb. The food is really very very good. The location is fantastic also, this is really a very special treat!

The dinner at the Oak Room exceeded our expectations, which were already high. The food was sensational both in taste, excitement and presentation. The service was superb. The ambience was very good, but not great.

Food was remarkable and service top notch. There was a wedding at the hotel which detracted a little with noise etc. Great for a special occassion.(found 7 reviews)
